Stan and Denise believe deeply in the concept of total surrender to the Lordship of Christ. It is based on this commitment that they made the decision to sell all that they had in the United States and move to Guatemala to serve the ministry of Rocsana’s Hope full time. They truly believe that this is what God has asked them to do and they have experienced blessing after blessing once they surrendered and answered the call to go.
In Romans 12:1-2 the bible talks about giving our bodies as a “living sacrifice” to be used to bring about what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. In other words, the bible is telling us than in order to find out what it is that God wants to do with our lives, we must be willing to offer ourselves and all that we are as a living sacrifice first. Not until we do that will we be truly ready to fulfill the call that God has placed on each of our lives. This is one of the founding truths that drive Stan and Denise to do what they do and love for the Lord exactly where God has called them.
Through their example, they wish to challenge all of those who see their lives and ministry to do the same thing and make the ultimate sacrifice, which is ourselves. They believe that there is truth in the old adage “No man is a fool who gives that which he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”
