Empowering Aged-Out Orphaned Girls
To Give Hope For The Future... To Reach Their Full Potential
Rocsana’s Hope is an Olathe, KS-based international non-profit that brings life-changing care and development to older orphaned and vulnerable girls. We are a unique and innovative ministry that gives young girls, who have “aged-out” of their orphanage, a place of love and security where they can continue to grow and develop into able independent adults; able to take care of themselves.
We currently have a transition home located in San Lucas, Guatemala and that’s just the beginning. By 2025, we fully intend to have homes all over Central America and beyond! Why? Because our ministry is needed everywhere and we know that together we can achieve miracles!
These girls deserve the very best. A way out of their past of abandonment and a way forward into their bright future. We believe in partnerships, and with generous gifts from people like you, we can make their dream a reality. Sound impossible? Thankfully, that’s just an opinion.
Impossible is just an opinion.
- Paulo Coehlo
To bring faith, hope and love to orphaned girls needing hope for a brighter future in their darkest hour of need!
The aspiration is for each “aged-out” orphaned girl, who has noone to help and nowhere to turn, to have reconciliation with her past, zeal for the present and hope for the future.
The right of all children and adults to be safe and respected as they realize their fullest potential in life.
HOW WE BEGAN
We had been invited and planned a trip to the Casa de Mi Padre Orphanage in Santa Cruz del Quiche, Guatemala. I was the senior pastor of New Life Baptist Church in LaCygne, Kansas and we were enjoying a fruitful ministry. The church was growing and all was well. The idea for a mission trip was not actually mine and I did not have a great desire to go.

WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
Aged-Out Orphan Girls
Rocsana’s Hope is a ground breaking mission that focuses exclusively on ‘aged-out’ orphaned girls. We provide a loving and secure home for them, confronting their past to provide healing, impact their present by providing their needs and giving them hope for the future by assisting them, through education, to become more valuable in a very competitive job market.
As the saying goes, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Instead of “giving fish” to help orphaned girls short term, we put the girls on a development path that involves many different areas and disciplines. The program is structured to provide a loving and protected environment for the girls to continue growing from a vulnerable young lady to an independent adult.
Each girl is given an opportunity to finish their education through secondary school, with the opportunity to attend college or vocational training after that. They can have the opportunity of studying things like engineering, social work, nursing, accounting, and natural sciences! Our goal is to have each girl become a healthy, happy, self-sustaining person—and break the cycle of poverty.
